GoGo Getaway was launched early 2008 by Janice and Lorraine when they began organising successful weekend retreats. GoGo Getaway started with the aim to create the perfect crafting weekend with a professional, yet personal touch. Starting with just one event a year, it soon became clear that this wasn't going to be enough so this has now grown to include residential, in person and virtual events.
Niki joined the management team in 2016 and has brought new, exciting ideas since then to help shape GoGo Getaway into where it is today. Niki is currently on the Bramble Fox, Cocoa Vanilla Studio and Simple Stories Design Teams where she inspires people constantly with her layouts and YouTube Process Videos.
Lorraine stepped back from management in April 2021 in order to concentrate on her career and family. Janice retired in 2022 and is now enjoying a well-deserved time with her also retired husband.
In a very timely move Kirei was able to join Niki to run GoGo Getaway at the start of 2021 when she decided to take early retirement after being made redundant from a long term senior management career with the Disney Store. Kirei is currently on the Bella Blvd, Bramble Fox, Hip Kit Club and CSI Challenge Design Teams.
Dedication to the finer details in event organisation means each Retreat runs smoothly, both before and during the weekend, leaving each and every delegate to enjoy the classes and other crafting opportunites on hand. Having evolved and developed our events specifically to suit every level of crafter, we proudly celebrated our 10th anniversary of GoGo Getaway in 2018. With a high volume of returning delegates year after year we believe that we have achieved the right mix and perfect combination for an inspirational crafting retreat.
